Our People

Vas Vernikos
Director of Finance
Vas Vernikos is our Director of Finance at Genesis, bringing a wealth of management expertise and a proven track record in the engineering and construction industries. With a rich history of leadership roles at SRC Infrastructure, an engineering and project management consultancy, and Hulkro Construction, Vas is responsible for overseeing our company's commercial, and finance functions.

Vas's experience also spans major organisations in both consulting and construction, including CH2M, Jacobs, and LendLease. His leadership has been instrumental in steering large-scale projects, developing robust frameworks, managing successful bids, and leading high-performing teams.

With a Global Executive MBA and experience in roles including Head of BIM and Technology Director, Vas also provides great value to our innovation and R&D efforts.
Pat Keegan
Director of engineering
Pat, our Director of Engineering, is a Chartered Engineer with a 1st class degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering and an IEE Prize for Academic Achievement. With over 35 years in the LUL environment—15 years in management and 16 years as a Director and Principal Consultant at SRC—Pat also leads SRC Infrastructure and Hulkro Limited.

He has deep expertise in LUL’s electrical, mechanical, power, traction, communications, and signalling systems, as well as regulatory standards and safety. Pat is skilled in developing assurance frameworks and managing approval submissions, including WPE, Concession, and Waiver Committee applications. His extensive experience spans Project Delivery, Maintenance, and Railway Operations.

Pat excels in team leadership and motivation, contributing significantly to LU’s people initiatives. He has led the Service Quality Enhancement Programme and managed the implementation of Investors in People in Central Line Engineering.
Wilson Chiu
Director of Operations
Wilson Chiu is a highly accomplished Chartered Project Manager and Chartered Engineer with 18 years of experience in programme delivery, specializing in the rail and transport sectors. He has a strong background in both design and delivery of rail construction projects. As Director of Operations at Genesis, Wilson is known for building and managing high-performing teams that consistently exceed business goals.

His leadership is marked by a focus on business development and account management, excelling in fostering long-term client relationships and expanding business opportunities. Wilson’s passion for technology is matched by his commitment to people development, using technological advancements to enhance team capabilities and efficiency.

His strategic vision and meticulous attention to detail have been crucial in steering complex projects to successful completion, establishing him as a respected leader in the engineering and construction fields.
