Genesis Engineering & Design were responsible for developing both concept and detailed designs for the refurbishments for platforms across 38 stations. The project aimed to modernise and improve platform conditions, ensuring safety and accessibility for all passengers.

Concept Designs

Genesis produced a total of 14 site-specific Concept Design Statements (CDSs) including 10 for premises, 2 for civils, and 2 for drainage. These reports provided a clear framework for the refurbishment works. These statements detailed general surfacing, nosing, and tactile designs, as well as specific platform layout drawings, CAD drawings for design elements, and assessments of constraints and risks with corresponding mitigation measures.

Detailed Design

Genesis prepared extensive documentation encompassing design specifications, layout and profile drawings, specific design element drawings, calculations, Designers Risk Assessment, and a Cutting, Drilling, and Fixing Log (CDFL).
